Heavy Metal.....

was the added touch we had to use on the second challenge at STB. I have been sitting on this challenge all week but with being busy with our visitors (Brad's parents) I didn't think I would get this finished. But this afternoon I just quickly sat down added the last minute touches. Lots of staples used, and some metal paper clips things and that cute little metal cap which was in the pack I won last month at STB.

I love the new Prima masks too...they are AWESOME!!

Close up of the little cap.

I hope you have all had a great week, thanks so much for all your gorgeous comments. Once things settle back down I will be around to visit you all! :)

New month tomorrow...its a special month too...stay tuned to see why!

BLOOM

was the WORD for the September 123 challenge along with the colour ORANGE and technique HANDMADE FLOWERS.

Seeing as tho I missed out on doing last months challenge I wanted to get this one done, although I find orange a hard colour to scrap with. Anyway here is my LO.

Just used my scallop punch for the flower, nothing fancy this time.

Its still raining today with heavy showers, lots and lots of water lying around and the smaller bridge into town is now closed. Hope it breaks soon.

Have a good day :)

She would...

cuddle you all day if she could....

This LO was created for this challenge over at Pam's Pastimes. The challenge was to use button/s, butterfly/s, Ribbon and Paper Piercing. I don't have any Paper Piercing template things so I just took the thread off my sewing machine and did a border as I would normally do. I really quite like the look of it and may have to use that idea again sometime. So with criteria like that it just begged me to do a LO. I have been wanting to scrap this photo of my sister and Finlay for some time and I am really happy with how it turned out. I NEVER use purple, probably because I have boys, but I had a few purple things lying around and it just looked really good with the lime green. Hope you likey too! :)

There is another Purple Pumpkin button...so yummy!!

Well the sun did peek out for a bit, but has gone again, but thankfully the rain has stopped. The boys are feeling a little housebound so I might send them out this afternoon...I am sure they will love to play in the mud!!!!!

Hope you give this challenge a go...there is a great prize up for grabs!

Have a good day :)

Remember

The Write Now challenge at Bons this month was to go back 12 months and scrap a photo, and journal about it. I have always wanted to scrap a photo of Riley and his dummy. Coincidentally this photo was taken in September last year and its my last photo of Riley and his dummy and it was only a few weeks after this, that he gave it up.

Extra criteria was two use 2 dates (date of photo and date of journalling), paint something (painted chipboard) and a stamped title or quote. I incorporated the quote as my title.

Using a yummy Purple Pumkin button too!

Thanks for stopping by and for all your lovely comments. Hope you all have a great week!

Bonus Challenge

at Scrap the Boys this month was to scrap about "who's your daddy" and the relationship your boy/s have with their daddy etc. I decided to scrap a very precious photo I took of when the boys and I met Brad at the airport after he had been away for 6 weeks. And were these boys (big one included) ever so glad to see each other again. Just made me realise that "we can't live without him".......

Its such a beautiful day here today, not too hot especially after the last few days...so we are off to the botanical gardens for a walk and play later this afternoon.

Scrap the Boys

Hello to you all,

The first challenge for this month was to scrap about your boy/s nickname and how he got it. Well my boys don't really have nicknames as such, but I still wanted to participate in the challenge....so I couldn't go past scrapping about what Finlay calls Riley. Finlay can't say Riley's name properly and goes around calling him "Rah Rah".... as in those skirts we use to wear way back as kids!! It is sooo cute so this is what I did...

Loving that little Prima elephant...too cute!

Random

yep I had one of those random weeks last week where I found myself enjoying the beauty and innocence of my boys, just spending lots of time with them, playing outside, going for walks, reading books, doing lots of baking, building things, playing cars, spending time with my friends, plus the usual housework, that blogging and computer time took second place. But in between all of that I managed to scrap a little. Here are a couple LO's I did last week.

Feel inspired by this room??? I was....its the September Room at Bons.

My inspiration was colours (of course) and I loved the square shaped pictures on the wall. That inspired me to create this LO.

This sketch was provided to us by Flis at Bons. Extra criteria was to use white cardstock as your base, fabric & something from your sewing box.

Here is my take on the sketch. I had these cute little photos of Finlay when he was 11 weeks old at his 1st Christmas. Just love how he is eyeing off his presents.

More to come but until then I hope you have a great week :)

KRAFT IT UP

challenge is up for September! Something a little different this time. Take inspiration from this picture. It could be anything, colours, banner, sport, stars...the list is endless.

My take, took inspiration from the two boys sitting together reading, the banner and loved the bits of green in the picture.

Head on over HERE to check out all the other CT LO's. Look forward to seeing all your entries.
Happy 1st of September too!!! It sure is a beautiful spring day here today, washing has dried in 2hrs flat!!!!
